Certificates of Approval (Air)

(Click here for our Certificate of Approval FAQ)

Many companies do not have a Certificate of Approval (CofA) Air Permit simply because they are not aware of their environmental compliance obligations. Both Commercial and Industrial companies are often required to obtain Certificates of Approval.

Commercial:

Many building owners and property managers in accordance with the Environmental Protection Act of Ontario, are required to obtain a CofA before they install or operate HVAC equipment, cooling towers, boilers or power generators . In addition, depending on the approval, their certificate might have to be amended BEFORE equipment is added or replaced.

There are also specific air and noise compliance limits for emergency power generators.

We have designed a Complimentary Commercial CofA Seminar specifically for commercial building owners and property managers to lead you through the approval process so you can map out your compliance strategy. We'll answer all your questions, inform you of the cost implications, and help you decide which approval is best suited for your business.

Industrial

In accordance with the Environmental Protection Act of Ontario, you must have approval from the Ministry of the Environment before you operate, install or modify equipment or processes that may discharge contaminants to the natural environment.

We have designed a Complimentary Industrial CofA Seminar to help industrial clients through the approval process so you can map out your compliance strategy. We'll answer all your questions, inform you of the cost implications, and help you decide which approval is best suited for your business.
