Air Pollution Control (Abatement) Services

At the foundation of a successful air pollution abatement program is a sound database from which decisions are derived. Air emissions testing quantifies the rate of contaminants being exhausted, and air emissions mapping provides insight into where control or capture resources should be allocated.

Characterizations of air emissions are necessary for designing, specifying and selecting equipment and materials.

Capabilities exist for testing in accordance with U.S. EPA, Environment Canada, Ministry of the Environment and CARB protocols to name a few.

Typical contaminants of interest include odours, semi-volatile and volatile organic compounds (SVOCs and VOCs), particulate matter (PM), inorganic and organic compounds, acid gases, total hydrocarbons (THC), combustion gases, nitrogen oxides, sulphur dioxide, criteria air contaminants and greenhouse gases.
