Odour Sampling & Analysis
By far, the most difficult of all regulated contaminants to deal with are odours. Pleasant smells can be annoying after prolonged exposure, and foul smells are immediately annoying. As you can appreciate, engineering a solution based on unreliable data is destined for failure.
As a result, Pinchin Environmental has constructed an odour evaluation laboratory located at our head office in Mississauga . The laboratory incorporates an odour-free presentation room and a triangular forced-choice, ascending concentration, dynamic dilution olfactometer. The laboratory has been constructed to MOE specifications and staff and panellists have been trained to provide compliance quality analyses satisfying ASTM E679 and CEN TC 264 standards. Typically, data is used to assess environmental impact, regulatory compliance, and effectiveness of air pollution control measures, perfumed product development, and food taste enhancement development.
