How to Measure an Organization's Carbon Footprint
Many companies are not aware of the impact of their business on climate change. Pinchin Environmental offers a 1-day course on how to measure an organization’s Carbon Footprint.
The course does not provide specific guidance with respect to Environment Canada’s Greenhouse Gas Emissions Reporting program or Ontario Regulation 452/09 (Greenhouse Gas Emissions Reporting). However, attendees reporting under these regimes will receive guidance including Scope 3 emissions quantification, emissions reductions, offsetting, and other topics.
The course will focus on the most widely used international accounting protocols (the GHG Protocol and ISO14064-1) for quantifying and managing GHG emissions.
Greenhouse Gases
You will also learn about greenhouse gases and their effect on the environment and international efforts to reduce GHG emissions. The course will specifically outline the Canadian Government’s current activities in this area and assist businesses in preparing for potential mandatory and voluntary programs.
Upon Completion, You Will be Able To:
- develop your company’s GHG management plan
- quantify, report and verify your total greenhouse gas emissions
