Junior/Intermediate Project Technologist
Mississauga, ON REF# EATDD-JIPT

Responsibilities & Attributes:

The successful candidate will de monstrate and bring forth good business & industry knowledge while conducting on-site assessment and remediation services.  The overall responsibilities include:

  • Performing site investigations related to Phase I & II environmental site assessments, and remedial projects;
  • Conduct site inspections and testing during environmental remediation;
  • Environmental compliance audits;
  • Preparing reports, summarizing data and drawings;
  • Maintaining and enhancing quality control within the Mississauga office;

Qualifications:

A valid drivers license, insurance & personal vehicle is required (work-related travel expenses will be compensated).  Minimum undergraduate degree (or equivalent diploma in Environmental Technology) or post graduate degree.  Training will be provided on laboratory & field safety as well as any other specific job related activities.  Minimum two (2) years of experience conducting Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments and other related projects is required.

Senior Level Human Health / Ecological Risk Assessor

We have an immediate opening for a Senior Level Human Health / Ecological Risk Assessor to join our team in our Winnipeg, Manitoba office. The overall responsibilities for this position include:

Responsibilities & Attributes

  • Human health risk assessment;
  • Ecological risk assessment;
  • Contaminated site assessment;
  • Human or ecological toxicology;
  • Assessment of contaminant exposure pathways and risk;
  • Contaminant fate and transport in the environment; and
  • Exposure assessment.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of ten years of experience working in quantitative human health and/or ecological risk assessment;
  • Current “Qualified Person” status for risk assessment in accordance with Ontario Ministry of the Environment (“MOE”) requirements;
  • Excellent writing and communication skills;
  • Extensive familiarity with Ontario risk assessment regulations and guidance; and
  • Experience in the technical and scientific review of contaminated site risk assessments on behalf of a public authority, preferably in a consulting environment.

Other qualities that will be considered preferentially include:

  • Experience with data evaluation;
  • Field chemical data analysis per Federal and MOE protocols;
  • Statistical and geospatial presentation of chemical data;
  • Remedial investigation and remedy evaluation experience; and
  • Knowledge of the chemical and petroleum refining industries.

Project Manager, Environmental Assessment and Transactional Due Diligence Services - Mississauga, ON (REF# EATDS-PM)

Responsibilities & Attributes:

The successful candidate will demonstrate and bring forth good business & industry knowledge in the areas of client development, management, marketing and servicing.  The overall responsibilities include:

  • Project Management related to Phase I & II environmental site assessments, audits, site investigations and remedial projects;
  • Coordination of activities with respect to consulting projects, contract preparation and project budgets;
  • Maintaining and enhancing quality control within the group and participating in all quality control initiatives;
  • Assisting the Vice President and Senior Staff with marketing/client development initiatives in collaboration with the Marketing Department as required.

Qualifications:

As this is an Intermediate/Senior position, a Professional Engineering or Geoscientist designation/certification is essential.  At least 7 years of experience conducting/managing Environmental Site Assessments and other related projects is required.  Experience in Ontario and a working knowledge of Ontario Environmental Regulations is also required.
