The Mississauga office is currently recruiting a Project Technologist to join the Mould & Indoor Air Quality department. The successful candidate will report to the department’s Operations Managers and be part of a friendly team environment. Applicants should be willing to work outside of standard core hours when necessary.

Responsibilities & Attributes: 

On-site assessment for mould and indoor air quality (IAQ):

o   Interviews with clients regarding building history and client concerns.

o   Inspection and evaluation of building systems including plumbing, HVAC.

On-site assessments of flood and water damage:

o   Assisting clients following flood and other water loss emergencies to get buildings dried, cleaned and operational.

o   Collection of a variety of mould and bacteria samples.

Preparation of detailed reports documenting findings and providing recommendations to address IAQ and mould concerns.

Oversight inspection of abatement and restoration contractors undertaking mould, asbestos and flood cleanup work to document that the recommended actions have been completed

Qualifications: 

Individuals with 1-2 years’ experience with the responsibilities noted above and who possess the qualifications below are invited to apply:

  • Bachelor of Science or diploma in Construction or Architectural Technology
  • Preference given to those with OH&S experience in the consulting industry
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Professional communication and the ability to communicate with clients.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a high attention to detail

 

This position requires short term work related travel.  Therefore, a valid driver’s license, insurance & personal vehicle is required (work-related travel expenses will be compensated).
