Pinchin’s asbestos awareness course offers a thorough yet concise overview of asbestos uses, health hazards, and regulatory requirements. This course is designed for anyone who may encounter asbestos in the workplace or home, as well as those who are involved in health & safety or administer Asbestos Management Programs.
The scope of this course is awareness-level only, and does not provide sufficient training to perform any types of asbestos work. Asbestos work includes even minor tasks, such as making small cuts in drywall or plaster finishes, or accessing ceiling spaces where asbestos debris may be present. Please refer to Section 12 of Ontario Regulation 278/05 for classifications of asbestos work operations or contact us if you need guidance.

Meghan Kelly is a Training Specialist with the Hazardous Materials group at Pinchin Ltd. In her previous role as a Project Manager, Meghan managed asbestos and other hazardous materials projects including surveys, asbestos reassessments, and abatement operations. Meghan was also a Project Technologist, where she performed hazardous materials surveys and inspections of abatement work performed by contractors. Meghan holds a Master of Science in Analytical Chemistry degree from Carleton University and an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science and Chemistry from Trent University.
Upon completing this course, each participant is provided with a certificate as proof of the training.
