This session is designed to help building owners, property managers, contractors, and consultants better understand their regulatory requirements and the potential impacts on their day to day operations, maintenance, and construction projects.
This session will provide insight on appropriate assessment requirements, notifications and project planning techniques, to avoid costly project delays and financial impacts from unexpected discoveries, and British Columbia regulatory “stop work” orders and fines.
Note: The scope of this awareness level session is not sufficient for those who will be removing or remediating asbestos or other designated substances. Refer to our course listings or contact us about training that is required in order to perform asbestos work.
Jerry has17 years of experience includes the management and completion of over 2,700 projects on behalf of Pinchin Ltd. involving hazardous material assessments and abatement projects in the residential, commercial, provincial and federal government and industrial sectors. Jerry‘s experience in hazardous material assessments and abatement projects range from single buildings of <1,000 square feet (sq ft) to large multi-building sites of >500,000 sq ft. Jerry also provides instructional training for all levels of asbestos abatement procedures and is a member of the Pinchin Ltd. Hazardous Material focus group. In addition to his work in Hazardous Materials, Jerry also works proficiently in other disciplines including Mould / Indoor Air Quality (IAQ), Radon and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS).
