Hazardous Materials (Asbestos, Mould, Lead)
("Hazardous Materials, Occupational Hygiene and the Construction Site"
by Dr. Don Pinchin - Builders Digest - Vol 1 No 2 Winter 2007")
Pinchin Environmental is Canada's largest hazardous materials consulting firm. We assist clients with the management of hazardous materials including asbestos, lead, PCBs, microbial contamination and clean-up of historical building contamination.
Building owners and managers, safety managers, engineers and architects are responsible for managing an increasingly complex set of environmental concerns. Regulations are in place or being developed to control hazards such as: asbestos, lead paint, silica, PCBs, etc.
During the design stage, our experience is applied to the development of specifications and tender documents that clearly define the scope of the project and minimizes extra costs. We provide a well designed tender package to give the abatement contractor a clear understanding of their role and the client's expectations.
We are committed to offering quality services on a cost effective and practical basis. Our consulting and inspection staff have designed and inspected over 5,000 projects ranging in cost from less than $5,000.00 to over $15.0 million (abatement cost). Our staff brings more than 300 man-years of professional qualifications and experience to each project.
We are a business-to-business company which means we do not provide services to
home-owners. Nevertheless, we
have created an archive of home-owner questions concerning Mould,
Asbestos and Vermiculite. Please click the Home Owners button to review this archive.
