Asbestos Abatement Supervisor
(MTCU Program 253 S) – 1 Day
As of November 1, 2007 all supervisors in Type 3 Asbestos Abatement sites in Ontario will be required to have completed a Training Program approved by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities (MTCU).
Those who do not have 1000 hours of Type 3 experience by November 1st will have to become a certified worker (Course 253 W) then take this course (Course 253 S) and pass an examination set by the Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities (MTCU).
Supervisors on Type 3 projects who have 1,000 hours of Type 3 work experience will not be required to attend a full 2 or 3 day training course to be permitted to challenge the examination required under the proposed Supervisor Training Programs approved by the Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities (MTCU).
Pinchin is presenting this Asbestos Abatement Supervisor one day course for supervisors who do not have the 1,000 hours of asbestos supervisory work and for those who have the 1,000 hours, to prepare them to challenge the tests required to meet the Supervisor Training Requirements. This course will be offered throughout 2007 and 2008. To assist in success in the formal examination, this course will include the writing of a practice examination to prepare attendees for the MTCU test which will be administered at local Community Colleges.
