This 253 W course is specifically designed only for workers who will perform Type 3 abatement operations in Ontario.

As of November 1, 2007 all workers in Ontario who perform Type 3 Asbestos Abatement work (and do not have 1000 hours of Type 3 experience by that date) will have to take this course and pass an examination set by the Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities (MTCU).

Prior to registering for this course, employers (or the local joint union/employer training committee) must register as a Signing Authority with MTCU (Contact Pinchin or your local MTCU office for details.)

This course will include writing of a practice examination to prepare attendees for the MTCU test which will be administered at local Community Colleges.
