Microbiological Contamination of Buildings

The presence of microbial contamination (fungi or bacteria) in a building can present a health hazard to occupants of the building or to construction workers during renovation or demolition. The potential health effects range from respiratory distress, allergic reactions or skin irritation problems to potentially fatal diseases, as in the case of Legionnaires' disease.

Pinchin staff investigate and provide advice related to microbiological contaminants as well as specifications and project management for remediation. Our Indoor Air Quality consultants draw on building science expertise for effective solutions to these problems.

For more information please see " Mould Management and Prevention Plans" within our Indoor Air and Microbiol Contamination group.
