PCB Identification and Control

Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) are a class of liquid chemicals, persistent in the environment, that are subject to provincial and federal regulation. These liquids were frequently used in electrical devices, such as transformers, capacitors, and light ballasts. Proper management of PCB devices is essential to meet statutory requirements and to avoid major environmental liabilities.

Pinchin assists owners by surveying and testing for PCB materials. We also provide assistance with regulated registration as a generator of PCB waste, and registration of the storage site. Our services include the preparation of PCB management plans and details of packaging, containment or destruction as appropriate.
