Mould, attributable to moisture damage during construction or renovation activities is now well established as a health hazard and liability for builders. 

In addition, as more and more clients are interested in having their projects LEED Certified, consideration must also be given to managing other Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) issues over the course of the construction process.

This Breakfast session will provide an update:

• on Federal and Provincial regulations and guidelines,
• general liabilities,
• advice on how best to manage moisture and mould issues,
• other IAQ concerns in general. 

The presenter will also review issues surrounding any pre-existing mould or IAQ concerns during renovations and the importance of documentation existing conditions before the work gets underway. 

Practical action steps will be reviewed to help manage this issue and mitigate you liabilities.
