Changes to “Prevention and Control Measures” in the Revised CSA Standard Z317.13-07 for Construction/Maintenance

This Breakfast Presentation will focus on changes contained in the revised CSA Standard (Z317.13-07) "Infection Control During Construction, Renovation and Maintenance of Health Care Facilities”.

Construction and maintenance activities can cause potentially fatal infections in patients near the project area in any health care setting. Even relatively minor work can cause serious infections, if performed near susceptible patients.

The risks posed by the work and problems encountered will be discussed as well as the new control measures for maintenance operations and construction
