Legionella Risk in Buildings
Please contact us via the blue “Have a question about this course?” button to let us know that you are interested in attending.
The disease caused by Legionella bacteria is currently recognized as Legionnaires' disease. It is serious with possible fatalities, particularly to immune compromised persons, the elderly, smokers, etc. caused by the inhalation of water aerosols containing Legionella pneumophila.
Contaminated water aerosols can typically be generated from poorly maintained cooling towers, water storage vessels, spas, hot tubs, faucet aerators or shower heads.
This complimentary seminar presents a summary understanding of Legionella, typical sources, current guidelines and control measures to minimize liability.
Speaker:
Bernard Siedlecki, Senior Associate, Indoor Air Quality & Mould.
