Construction-Related Infection Control
in Health Care Facilities
Complimentary Breakfast - Winnipeg
This Awareness Session is designed for construction managers, architects and infection control specialists.
The session will discuss the risks and present the necessary control measures, drawing on both Health Canada’s documentation and Pinchin’s field experience in these projects.
Construction and maintenance activities can cause potentially fatal infections in patients near the project area. Even relatively minor work can cause serious infections, if performed near susceptible patients. To control this risk, Health Canada has issued extensive guidelines for construction work near hospitalized patients.
We also provide a 1-day course suitable for above attendees and contractors working in health care facilities upon request.
