Mould Management & Abatement
Mould contamination is now recognized as a significant factor in indoor air quality in homes, schools, offices, and other types of general use buildings. Indoor exposure to moulds can cause a range of symptoms due to allergic and toxic responses.
Authorities at all levels of government require assessment and remediation of potential mould growth and appropriate precautions to protect remediation workers. Renovation of buildings with mould contamination can cause significant worker exposure and such operations have been subject to Department of Labour stop work orders.
This seminar is designed to provide comprehensive coverage for building managers, health and safety staff, abatement contractors, and others with an interest in this issue.
The seminar will address:
- where mould can grow in buildings
- health effects
- regulations and guidelines
- testing methods and interpretation
- abatement techniques
- and the prevention of future mould growth
