Accident Investigation
This 1 day course is designed for managers, supervisors, and members of Joint Health & Safety Committees.
The best way to prevent reoccurrence of an accident is a full investigation that reveals root causes and identifies corrective actions.
This course details the theory and procedures to perform effective accident investigations. Employing CAN/CSA-Z796 "Accident Information" standard, these procedures are reinforced through practical tabletop exercises and a walkthrough accident training scenario where participants will employ the skills learned in the classroom.
Legislative requirements and due diligence practices are also covered in depth. A checklist for Accident Investigation procedures will be given to all participants to assist in the site specific requirements of each unique workplace.
