Fire & Life Safety Evacuation Planning
Fire is one of the major hazards at any workplace regardless of activities being performed. This risk can be mitigated through proper fire safety training.
Ontario Fire Code Section 2.8 and Ontario Reg. 388/97 are the standards that will be employed for training.
This 1 day course will assist property managers, supervisors and building emergency coordinators, fire wardens and fire marshals, to increase their knowledge for Fire Safety Planning and Emergency Evacuation Procedures.
Participants will learn the basic principles of the anatomy and behavior of fire, methods of controlling hazards and the benefits of regular inspections.
Participants will also gain a better understanding of Fire Safety Management and how pertinent safety programs for their workplace can be made more effective. The communication and training of a Fire Safety Plan, including the establishment of Fire Wardens and alternates, as well as the requirements for annual fire drills will be covered in detail.
