For Managers, Supervisors and current members of a Joint Health & Safety Committee, this course will outline the steps required in forming a Committee and the duties and functions of committee members under the Ontario Health & Safety Act.

This informative one day training course will also address the development of Health & Safety Policies and Procedures, making recommendations, meeting requirements, as well as workplace inspections.

In order to achieve the definition as a “competent” supervisor, supervisors must have knowledge of the health and safety hazards in the workplace, and must be familiar with the OHSA and the regulations that apply to their work. This training session achieves the theory requirements of this stipulation.
