WHMIS - 1 Day Course

The Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) ensures that employers and workers have access to information regarding the hazards and safe use of products used in their facilities.

This workshop provides the attendees with an understanding of:

• the elements of WHMIS regulations (e.g. MSDS, product labeling)
• chemical hazards and the control of these hazards
• the knowledge needed to implement and maintain an effective WHMIS program

Focus is placed on the practical management of a WHMIS program in the workplace.

A variety of teaching techniques, including group discussion, group assignments, and self-audits, ensure a successful training experience.
