Health & Safety Program Development & Auditing

The Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act requires employers to prepare a health and safety policy, and to develop programs to implement the policy.

Pinchin Environmental has assisted a number of companies and government agencies in developing workplace-specific policies, programs and procedures. Typical programs include:

  • Joint Health and Safety Committees
  • Confined Space Entry
  • Hearing Conservation
  • Personal Protective Equipment

The number of programs required by a particular workplace depends on the number of potential hazards/issues in the workplace. Each written program outlines how the employer will “manage” the particular issue (e.g. responsibilities of the workplace parties, training, record-keeping, equipment selection, periodic auditing, etc.).

The OH&S Group has also assisted in the implementation of these programs through activities such as management and employee training.

Our consultants are also experienced in conducting OH&S audits for the purposes of evaluating compliance and/or to assess the effectiveness of OH&S management systems.
