Our Leadership Team members have a unique breadth and depth of experience and education in the environmental services industry, founded on a solid understanding of the challenges and opportunities all businesses face in today’s market.


Jeff Grossi
Chief Executive Officer

Jeff Grossi Jeff leads Pinchin’s executive team and our staff. He manages the strategic planning process, focusing on enhancing service lines to meet client needs, expanding our national network of expert resources, and driving the company’s growth.

With his two decades of experience in almost every facet of management, Jeff’s background spans a wide variety of industries including consulting, manufacturing, distribution, real estate management and property services.

Jeff is a Chartered Accountant who holds a BA (Economics) from the University of Toronto.

Scott McCarthy, P.Geo., FGC
Chief Operating Officer

Scott McCarthy

Scott is Pinchin’s Chief Operating Officer and leads day-to-day business operations. Scott is focused on securing the functionality of the business and driving continued growth (organic and acquisition) in line with the company’s strategic plan.

Scott has over 25 years of history with Pinchin and was formerly the President of Pinchin LeBlanc Environmental Ltd. He has led initiatives and implemented processes and systems for business development, client management, project delivery, quality management and health & safety.

Scott holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Waterloo, is a Professional Geoscientist, and in 2015 was named a Fellow of Geoscientists Canada.


Robert Thomas, BASc., P. Eng
Chief Technical Officer

Rob Thomas Robert is Pinchin's Chief Technical Officer and is responsible for the overall direction and delivery of Pinchin's technical services. He provides strategic leadership in maintaining Pinchin's standards for high quality and accountable service to our clients across the country. Rob has nearly 30 years of experience with Pinchin, acting previously as the Executive Vice President and practice lead for our Hazardous Materials services. He is the key contact for many of Pinchin’s major clients in the property management, financial, and industrial sectors, also assisting them with the establishment of policies and procedures.

Robert holds a B.A.Sc. (Civil Engineering), from the University of Waterloo, and is a licensed engineer in the province of Ontario.


John Holland
Chief Development Officer

John is the Chief Development Officer for Pinchin. John’s primary responsibility is the strategic guidance of Pinchin into new practice areas and the development of our existing practices to meet our clients' and communities changing needs. John was formerly President of Pinchin West where he managed the direction and performance of Western Canada for over 30 years. John is a professional engineer and a LEED AP. His areas of practice include turnkey project management, sustainability and hazardous materials management. He has been involved in many of our high profile and large scale projects and is active in his professional and business community including engineering associations, real estate outreach, not for profit and universities.

John Holds and Bachelor of Technology degree from the University of Bradford in the UK. He is a Professional Engineer in three provinces and a Fellow of Engineers Canada.

Terence Gang, CPA, CA
Chief Financial Officer

Terence Gang Terence leads multiple groups within Pinchin, including Finance & Administration, Planning & Analysis, Information Technology, Procurement, and Facilities. Terence has over 20 years of experience in business planning, process & systems redesign, integration of mergers & acquisitions, and risk management while in progressive management positions with organizations like LifeLabs, Coca-Cola, PricewaterhouseCoopers and CML HealthCare.

Terence graduated with a Masters of Accounting degree from the University of Waterloo and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.


Laura Tait
Chief People & Culture Officer

Laura Tait

As a member of the executive team, Laura collaborates with all areas of our business to bring consistency to our People practices, develop our Culture, and support our growth strategy. Over the last 20 years, Laura has held leadership positions in Human Resources and operations management spanning industries including defence, R&D, manufacturing, sales and professional services. Laura joined the Pinchin Group in 2012 with Pinchin LeBlanc Environmental where she held the position of Director, Operations & Human Resources when the companies merged in 2019.

Laura is a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) and holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Human Resource Management & Industrial Relations, as well as a Certificate in Human Resource Management, from Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, NS.


Anthony Jin, MBA, CFA, P.Eng.
Executive Vice President, Business Development

Anthony Jin
Anthony is the Executive Vice President for Business Development and is responsible for the company’s sales, marketing, and business development initiatives. Anthony is focused on building upon and modernizing existing programs, managing the Pinchin brand and leveraging its solid reputation and 40+ years of success in Canada to expand into the US markets organically and through acquisitions. 

Anthony brings 20 years of experience in business management, sales and marketing, business development, engineering, and finance from progressively senior leadership positions in organizations such as Alimak, Tractel and RBC Capital Markets. 

Anthony holds a B.A.Sc. (Mechanical Engineering), from the University of Waterloo, and an MBA from the University of Toronto – Rotman School of Management. Anthony is also a licensed professional engineer in the Province of Ontario and a CFA charterholder.


Mark Stroombergen, CET

Executive Vice President, Northeastern Ontario & Atlantic

Mark is the Executive vice President for Pinchin's North Eastern Ontario Region and Atlantic provinces.  He is responsible for the operational management, strategic growth and ensuring service line continuity within these regions. With 25 years of consulting experience, Mark oversees and provides mentorship to other senior leaders to ensure organization goals are met. With roots starting in the hazardous materials area, Mark developed Pinchin's Hazardous Materials Inventory System (HMIS) and continues to play a key role in the managerial oversight and technical leadership of Pinchin's involvement in the buildings and real estate, government and institutional, insurance, infrastructure, resources, and industrial markets. Mark received a diploma as a Construction Engineering Technologist from Conestoga College and has an Executive Masters of Business Administration.


Stephen Booth, CET, LEED AP, RESET AP
Executive Vice President, GTA Indoor Environmental Quality

Stephen has been employed by Pinchin Ltd. since 1993. Stephen holds a Diploma in Architectural Technology from Centennial College. Stephen is a Certified Engineering Technologist and LEED and RESET Air accredited professional. Stephen has more than 25years of environmental consulting experience and has managed hundreds of projects on behalf of Pinchin Ltd., including mould assessments, hazardous building materials surveys, along with complex abatement projects. This experience extends to industrial, commercial and government projects. Stephen has managed multiple whole building abatement projects for lead, mould, asbestos, and clandestine drug laboratories.


Greg Rusling
Executive Vice President, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba & Northwestern Ontario

Greg Rusling 

Greg is responsible for the operational management, strategic growth and business enhancement from Alberta to Northwestern Ontario, encompassing approximately 125 employees. With close to 15 years of industry experience, Greg has been participating in the managerial oversight and technical leadership of Pinchin’s involvement in the real estate, property management, institutional, government, insurance and industrial sectors. With roots starting in the Environmental sector, Greg received a B.Sc. in Geography from the University of Calgary and is a registered Professional Agrologist in Alberta and Saskatchewan.


Chris Burke
Executive Vice President, GTA

 

Chris is responsible for the strategic growth and development of our GTA region. He also plays a role developing and expanding new practice areas and driving innovation and technical enhancement in our existing practice areas to increase the value Pinchin offers our clients and community. Chris has extensive environmental and engineering consulting experience and works with a wide array of clients in real estate, institutional, and infrastructure sectors. He holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Toronto and is a Professional Engineer in British Columbia and Ontario.


Andy Vanin, P.Eng., QPESA
Executive Vice President, Southwestern Ontario

Andy Vanin is Executive Vice President for Pinchin Ltd.’s Southwestern Ontario region. He is responsible for the strategic development and management of offices in Barrie, London, Tilbury, St. Catharines, Waterloo and Hamilton, including over 100 staff. Andy has almost 30 years of experience covering a wide spectrum of projects involving environmental due diligence reviews for financial, insurance, real estate and legal clients across Canada, United States, Mexico and Europe. Andy is registered with the Ontario Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) as a Qualified Person under O.Reg. 153/04 (as amended). Andy has also served as an expert witness on Phase I ESAs and Phase II ESAs. He is a graduate of McMaster University with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and is a member of Professional Engineers Ontario.


Vanessa McNeil
Executive Vice President, British Columbia

Vanessa McNeil

Vanessa is responsible for the day-to-day business operations of the BC region and is responsible for developing the growth strategy for the region, local staff and client base. Vanessa manages a team of environmental and engineering experts who deliver services to a wide range of clients from the public and institutional sectors, to commercial and corporate real estate. Vanessa takes pride in providing solution-focused outcomes for clients and positive impacts for the community. Vanessa holds a degree in International Relations from the University of Calgary, is a LEED Accredited Professional, a Project Management Professional, and a member of the Applied Science Technologists of BC.
