Jeff Grossi, CA
Chief Executive Officer
|Jeff leads Pinchin’s executive team and our staff. He manages the strategic planning process, focusing on enhancing service lines to meet client needs, expanding our national network of expert resources, and driving the company’s growth.
With his two decades of experience in almost every facet of management, Jeff’s background spans a wide variety of industries including consulting, manufacturing, distribution, real estate management and property services.
Jeff is a Chartered Accountant who holds a BA (Economics) from the University of Toronto.
Robert Thomas, BASc., P. Eng
Chief Technical Officer
|Robert is Pinchin's Chief Technical Officer, and is responsible for the overall direction and delivery of Pinchin's technical services. He provides strategic leadership in maintaining Pinchin's standards for high quality and accountable service to our clients across the country. Rob has nearly 30 years of experience with Pinchin, acting previously as the Executive Vice President and practice lead for our Hazardous Materials services. He is the key contact for many of Pinchin’s major clients in the property management, financial, and industrial sectors, also assisting them with the establishment of policies and procedures.
Robert holds a B.A.Sc. (Civil Engineering), from the University of Waterloo, and is a licensed engineer in the province of Ontario.
Larry Backman, B.Sc.S
Executive Vice President, National Accounts
|Larry is responsible for the strategic growth and development of our operations in Eastern and Northeastern Ontario, with offices ranging from Kingston and Ottawa to Sault Ste. Marie and Timmins.
Larry is the principal client manager for national clients with regard to their environmental issues. He has acted as the lead consultant on numerous portfolios involving assets located throughout North America. With over 25 years in the engineering consulting industry, combined with experience in government environmental compliance, Larry helps clients in the commercial, industrial and multi-residential real estate industry understand and navigate environmental risk and liability as part of property transactions. He acted as the Project Principal on the largest real estate transaction in Canada to date, involving $2.3 billion and 228 assets from coast to coast.
Larry holds a BSc.S with specialization in Biology/Geology from Acadia University.
Vico Paloschi, M.Sc., P.Geo., QP
Executive Vice President, General Manager - GTA
|Vico offers clients expertise in transactional due diligence in the commercial, residential, industrial and manufacturing sectors; environmental assessments and remediation; and environmental risk management. He has over 20 years of experience involving a wide spectrum of projects for financial, legal and corporate clients across North America, Europe and the Caribbean.
Vico has led numerous Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments, compliance audits, real estate transaction audits, site remediation programs, facility decommissioning and redevelopment projects, and hydrogeological studies.
Vico holds both an Honours BSc. in Geology and an MSc.in Hydrogeology/Earth Sciences.
Executive Vice President, Regional Manager
|Don is responsible for all areas of Pinchin’s Environmental Management operational and business success in Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario.
With over two decades of experience in environmental consulting services—from High Arctic ventures to large-scale asbestos abatement, Don oversees comprehensive environmental site assessments and sustainability initiatives to building owners, engineers and architects.
Don is currently an Environmental Advisor to the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce and a board member of Green Manitoba. A frequent presenter and trainer on environmental assessment and management, Don is known for his ability to translate complex issues into practical and actionable information and strategies for clients.
Bruce Stewart, B.Sc., DOHS, CIH, ROH
Executive Vice President, Technical Services
|Bruce is the Pinchin services leader for mould and indoor air quality investigations and consulting on lead hazards in buildings and construction, also providing expert witness services. Certified by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene and by the Canadian Registration Board of Occupational Hygienists, he has broad experience as a trainer and facilitator for health and safety issues, and is a frequent speaker at industry events. He has provided expert witness services for mould and indoor air quality issues, and asbestos building materials.
Bruce holds a B.Sc. from the University of Waterloo, and a diploma in Occupational Health and Safety from McMaster University.
Mike Agostinelli, P.Eng., QPESA
Executive Vice President, Southern Ontario Region
|Mike Agostinelli is General Manager for Pinchin Ltd.’s Southern Ontario region. He is responsible for the strategic development and management of offices in London, Tilbury, St. Catharines, Waterloo and Hamilton, including over 50 staff. Mike has extensive consulting experience in environmental due diligence and remediation. He holds a degree in Civil Engineering from Ryerson University and is a Professional Engineer with PEO.|
Peter Horvatis, MBA
Senior Vice President, Business Development
|Peter is part of the executive team and is responsible for providing leadership to Pinchin's business development activities across the organization. He brings over two decades of leadership in business development strategy from the asset management, infrastructure, real estate, and property and facilities management markets.
Peter holds an MBA from the Schulich School of Business and an HBA from the Ivey Business School.
Terence Gang, CPA, CA
Vice President, Finance & Support Services
|Terence leads multiple groups within Pinchin, including Business Processes, Human Resources, Information Technology as well as Finance & Administration. Terence has over 20 years of experience in business planning, process & systems redesign, integration of mergers & acquisitions, and risk management while in progressive management positions with organizations like LifeLabs, Coca-Cola, PricewaterhouseCoopers and CML HealthCare.
Terence graduated with a Masters of Accounting degree from the University of Waterloo and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.
