Seminar Description

Covid-19 has put many of our buildings into a low or no occupancy mode. Lower flow rates and a less frequent maintenance schedule can cause legionella to form in buildings.  How we manage this risk, screen and mitigate an outbreak could be one of the many issues arising in 2020.

Terry Runka
Senior Manager, Chem-Aqua Environmental and Healthcare Division

Terry has been with Chem-Aqua for 26 years. He is currently the Senior Manager of Chem-Aqua Environmental and Healthcare Division. This division is devoted to minimizing water borne pathogens including Legionella through scientifically validated treatment options.

Adam Crawford, B. Sc., DOHS, CIH
Operations Manager, Indoor Environmental Quality, Pinchin Ltd.

Adam Crawford is the Operations Manager with the Mississauga and Toronto Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) Group at Pinchin Ltd. Adam provides supervision, training, coordination and quality control for all employees in the Mississauga and Toronto IEQ Group. Adam is a key account manager for several clients and is also the National leader for Legionella consulting. Adam obtained a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Environmental Biology from the University of Guelph in 2002 and a Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety from McMaster University in 2009. Adam also obtained the Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation in 2013 from the American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH). Adam has over 16 years of consulting experience, 14 of which has been focused on indoor environmental quality.

Rafic Dulymamode
Laboratory Manager, Environmental Microbiology Laboratory, Pinchin Ltd.

Rafic is the Laboratory Manager for Pinchin’s Environmental Microbiology Laboratory at the Mississauga Office and directs Pinchin’s laboratory services across Canada. Rafic has been with Pinchin for 17 years and has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Botany and Zoology, a Master of Science Degree in Pure and Applied Plant Taxonomy received a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Mycology. Rafic has lecturered at his alma mater, the University of Mauritius, where he's authored several papers on various scientific topics.
