The federal government recently announced specific targets for reducing GHG emissions to 40% below 2005 levels. The carbon price is set to rise from $50 per tonne of emissions to $170 by 2030. Real estate investors, specifically institutional capital are facing pressure to demonstrate ESG governance and targeted GHG reductions. How do we design new buildings and communities with these objectives in mind? How do we repurpose existing buildings to meet these commitments? We will be exploring these ideas with our expert panel.
