Celebrating World Bee Day
Pollinators may be small, but their impact is immense. On World Bee Day, we’re reminded of the essential role that bees and other pollinators play in sustaining ecosystems and securing our global food supply.
At Pinchin, we approach environmental work with a focus on steady, community-based action. This World Bee Day, we’re proud to honour that mission through our continued support for pollinator research, and through the launch of a new initiative that brings our commitment even closer to home.
Where our Bee Story Begins
Our connection to pollinators goes back to our roots. Before Pinchin became an environmental consulting company, Dr. Don Pinchin helped on his family’s apple orchard, gaining firsthand experience with how bees support food production and natural balance. That early understanding of ecological interdependence continues to shape our values today.

Continuing the Buzz: Our Commitment to Pollinators
Our support for pollinator health is not just a new initiative—it’s part of our history. For years, we have supported the Honey Bee Research Centre (HBRC) at the University of Guelph. Their work in bee health, education, and advocacy plays a critical role in advancing sustainable ecosystems and agricultural resilience.
As we reflect on our legacy—from Dr. Pinchin’s orchard roots to our support of HBRC’s upcoming state-of-the-art facility—we’re proud to help strengthen the future of pollinator research. The new centre will enhance outreach, education, and innovation in honey bee care.
Supporting HBRC is one way we live out our environmental values. This long-standing partnership reflects a deepening commitment to protecting the natural systems that support us all.
