Course Overview

Pinchin’s Type 1 & 2 Worker training course is designed for workers who will be required to perform Type 1, Type 2, and/or Glove Bag asbestos work operations. This training teaches the participants about the uses and health hazards of asbestos, and all aspects involved in performing these asbestos abatement operations (work area setup, measures and procedures to be used, personal protective equipment, hygiene practices, and waste packaging and disposal requirements). This course meets the training requirements to perform Type 1 & 2 asbestos operations in accordance with Section 19 of Ontario Regulation 278/05.

Please note: the scope of this course does not include the requirements for performing Type 3 asbestos work. Please refer to Section 12 of Ontario Regulation 278/05 for the specific classifications of asbestos work operations or contact us if you require guidance. Also note that theory-based training should be complemented by on-the-job training to ensure a worker is competent to perform asbestos operations.

**All participants will be required to use their full legal names upon registration. Participants will also be required to attend the full training session and pass a written quiz to receive a certificate for this course.**
