Lead Training

Pinchin offers comprehensive lead training programs for workers, supervisors, and building professionals who handle or encounter lead-containing materials. Our courses cover the health risks of lead exposure, regulatory requirements, and safe work practices for inspection, removal, and management. Led by certified trainers with practical industry experience, participants gain the knowledge and skills needed to protect themselves, their teams, and the public while ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety standards.

Dates provided on this website are for scheduled open enrolment courses. Please let us know if there are other dates or locations that you prefer. Any of our Lead courses can be provided at a client requested location or at many of our local Pinchin offices. Please contact us if you are interested in obtaining a quote.

Course Overview

Pinchin's lead awareness course offers a thorough yet concise overview of lead uses, health hazards, and guidelines. This course is designed for anyone who may encounter lead in the workplace or home, as well as those who are involved in health & safety. While other lead awareness training courses provide basic information on the hazards of lead, Pinchin's Lead Awareness course incorporates Pinchin's decades of knowledge in the hazardous materials consulting industry, to help you understand the implications of lead-related guidelines on your company.
Important Note: This course is not meant for workers who will be carrying out lead abatement work. Pinchin offers separate training courses for lead workers.

Course Overview

Pinchin’s Lead Work Operations training course is designed for workers who will be required to perform Class 1, 2A, and 2B lead work operations. This training teaches the participants about the uses and health hazards of lead, and all aspects involved in performing these lead abatement operations (work area setup, measures and procedures to be used, personal protective equipment, hygiene practices, and waste and disposal requirements). This course will also cover the training requirements required to perform Class 1, 2A, and 2B lead operations in accordance with the applicable guidelines. Please note: the scope of this course does not include the requirements for performing Class 3A, or 3B lead work.
*All participants will be required to use their full legal names upon registration. Participants will also be required to attend the full training session and pass a written quiz to receive a certificate for this course.*
